What does correct outside mirrors for a 1970 Custom F100 look like?

Post by ncpapaul »

I would like someone to show me what the factory correct outside rear view mirrors should look like on my 1970 F100 Custom. Mine has bigger mirrors with a loop bracket and some advertisements show them but then I see other photos with small mirrors very much like the Ford automobiles had. Thank you greatly, Paul in Mississippi

Both are correct... I believe what you have are the western junior (towing) mirrors, perhaps with a swing-lock. There is also a western mirror setup with three mounting points. They either have "FoMoCo" or the Ford blue oval on the back side.

The buyer could have opted for no towing mirrors and instead used the standard door-mounted version. Visit Dennis Carpenter Reproduction parts for reproductions.
