Large dent on rear quarter panel

Post by 1969 FORD F250 »

Restoring my 69 Ford F250 and the rear quarter panel has a huge dent 10 inches wide and 3 inches high right on the raised part of quarter panel. Can not get behind it to pound it out. This metal is solid as everyone here knows. Should I take it to a body shop and have them pull the dent out well enough for me to bondo it?

If u have the basic skill to do a little body work, just get a dent puller and pull it out yourself. Taking it to a body shop is a good idea if you are ready for the, it isn't cheap factor.
If me and I went the body shop route, I would have them bondo also. (Remember, as little bondo as possible to do the job.)
Basic body work tools, dent puller ect. are not very expensive.
Good luck

I bought the HF stud welder dent repair kit and it did a great job with out any holes to weld up. It will also shrink metal.

I will look into doing it myself then. I hate throwing away good money for something I can do myself.
