1967 F100....Driver

Post by 67mann »

I recently purchased this 67
Image
My main porpose for getting this truck was to steal the bed and inner fenders....with the bonus of it being a running "Bump"
I've posted a little about it my other project thread and decided to start it's own "spotlight"... so I've moved the last 3wks of work over here.
Started by digging out my other bed and modifing it to go back on this truck.....removing and fixing gas tank door
Image
Image
I also need to get my roll pan out of the way and I wanted to keep it for my other truck
Image
Image
I then proceeded to wet sand and shoot the bed....Xo rust...9.95 paint job
Image
Image
One of the very first things done to this truck once it was home was to swap out the inners. I salvaged two sets into one decent set for the swap
Image
Image
So the truck no would stay in this shape until all work was complete
Image
So before it went to my buddys for brake work..I decided to pull it in the shop and make some repairs and changes  Turned into a major make over
Floor boards repaired and sealed

Dash torn apart and the start of a long stretch of head scratching

Thank Goodness for the boxes of 67 parts that I had from the other parts truck. This in turn led to changing complete(in cab)harness, heaterbox, all the cable (no more toggle switches)controls for the heater, dashpad, instrument panel, visors, headlight switch, steering column&wheel...due to a very hacked up (kinda like the main)wiring harness. There was also alot removed(unused wiring)and added....a stereo/speaker unit(Thx Dusty  ),carpeting ,seat cover, rear window tint. Outside of the cab improvments...I added the bypass heat spacer to the carb, installed the missing heating control, all new mechanical gauges, original choke/bezel unit, combination windshield/overflow jug, stock air cleaner..hooked up PCV. Made a new tailight harness and took(drove :woohoo: )it to my buddys shop and fixed brake lines, adjusted the brakes...added brake booster, fixed exhaust leak, adjusted idle.----So enough chatter....Well then there's the fact that I brought it home and gave it a quick paint job  here's some Before& after Pic's

Looks like you made a quick turnaround on that truck to make a nice driver. Nice clean look to it, congrats.
