I wasn't sure where to put this, but it starts a whole new project for me. I found this on Craigslist by accident, I'm on there every night doing my usual searches and a couple days before Christmas i was searching by years which i don't usually do. I had typed in 1968 just to see what came up, when i saw a listing that said Old Crew Cab Truck so I clicked on it and there it was, a crew cab 68 4x4 SWB. There wasnt a number so I immediately emailed them, the posting was in Nov. so I figured no way this thing was still here. The next morning a lady called me and said they still had it, there was no price it just said make offer. So i stopped what i was doing and headed their direction, kinda nervous because it sounded too good to be true... So I pulled up and there it was, in pretty good shape, except some of the bondo where the cab was welded together was flaking off. I crawled in, under, and around it like a kid in a candy store! Then the big question "What'll you take for it?" After some hesitation she said 'how about $200 bucks' I almost peed in my pants! I couldn't get the money out of my pockets fast enough, I had it in several different places on me because I was unsure what i was gonna have to pay. I immediately druve back home and got my trailer to load it up. the next morning I pressurized the fuel tank to drain all the old gas out, filed the points, put in a good battery and she fired right up! It had been sitting up about 8 years she said. All I could sing on the way home was Merry Christmas to Me!!!
