Re: Troy's 69 F100 Rolling Project
Spent most of the day taking off the exhaust manifold to replace the gaskets. Got one side off. Bolts came off pretty good except the far back one on the driver side. Sprayed some pb blast stuff. Bought the tin felpro gaskets. Gonna put em on tomorrow. Let's hope that its not a whole day job. Lol. I also bought the dupi color vinyl& fabric paint and painted my seats black. Looks awesome. Let's just hope they hold up. I will post pics of the seats tomorrow.

Re: Troy's 69 F100 Rolling Project
I got rid of the bench seat that originally came in the truck for a newer seat out of a 94 F150. It was gray and i didn't like that nor was i gonna pay big bucks to have it reupholstered. So i picked up some dupi color vinyl & fabric paint. Took about 4 cans of it. turned out pretty good. If you are gonna do this I highly recommend that you clean the seats and smack it to get all the dust out then shop vac it. I also have been trying to remove all the black paint that the po did. that sob! ![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_laughing01.gif)

Yeah, looks much better without the black paint! The PO must have gotten a deal on rattle-can black paint.
(OOOPS! Hopefully, that wasn't YOU, man!)
That paint scheme you are planning to use sounds awsome. Post some photos when that gets done! I'm looking for ideas, too.
Cheers!

Thanks bud. The paint is holding up great! My only complaint is that it feels like sand paper. That's expected though. I do plan on getting a new seat. This was a temp fix for now.

Re: Troy's 69 F100 Rolling Project
Got moved in to the new house last week! i haven't done much. Tried taking the back bumper off that was unsuccessful yesterday. i lubed it up with some pb blast. i am gonna do that for the next few days. I am getting ready to take my old bed off and install the new one. I want to prime the new bed before I put it on. as well as install new shocks and clean the rear frame good. i will update with my progress later.

Got the bumper off. Think it looks a whole lot better. Plan on buying the roll pan. all the bolts snapped off while I was taking it off. Got my monkey wrench and hit it and it came right off. ![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_laughing01.gif)

Re: Troy's 69 F100 Rolling Project
well i started to put on new struts Front and back. before i went and picked them up at Auto zone (gabrial Progaurd) I started cleaning the underneath and taking them off. Found out that the driver side rear mount on the frame is completely rusted out. FML.

Re: Troy's 69 F100 Rolling Project
I was JUST cleaning the garage a couple days ago and came across a small box... with two of those same rear shock mounts. Convincor on here sent them to me and i was going to put them on my truck a long time ago because my truck had the peg shock style and i wanted bolt through.
I could of sworn i put them in the scrap pile as i knew i would never use them now, and i thought for sure no one would ever want them.
I just went through my whole scrap pile and every box of parts in the garage and they arn't there.... i dont know why i wouldn't have put them in scrap. I must of put them in the garbage
I always keep any spare parts because you never know when you need them. I tossed those shock mounts and look what happens, 2 days later someone really needs them. Sorry, i'm no help, just can't believe my luck.

Re: Troy's 69 F100 Rolling Project
It has been awhile since I last Updated. I have been preparing myself for this build. Have purchased a bunch of tools that i did not have that i will need. Thurs I will be picking up a beautiful non rusted cab and radiator core support. (( Very Excited)) I have been working allot putting in 60+ hours at work. Any minute I get is valuable. I am going to start building the bed dolly and Cab dollies Sunday ( 8/7/11). I am hoping the following weekend to pull the truck in the Garage and and start dismantling her. I will post pictures of the new cab Thurs or Fri. ![FORDification Rocks! :fr:](./images/smilies/icon_FORDification.gif)
