Re: my 68 F-250 Project IS FINALLY DONE!!!
Finally got the truck done, The 390 we built dynoed at 405hp and 440ft lb, we were hoping for more but we under camed it and it turned out great. After we got done porting the heads flowed as good as edelbrock 428 heads. After we get everything dialed in with the right carb spacer and all it should be closer to 420hp. The truck screams and spins the tires through all 4 gears, but you cant really count first gear
. Ill be getting pictures up soon. I also took the fan belt off the original 360 that came out of the truck and it was the original ford fan belt from 1968 with the date code on it still. Pictures will be coming soon, the paint shined up pretty good as well. I havent seen any other trucks in this holly green color but I really like it. the last few times I filled up with gas I was getting 11mpg without the vac advance hooked up, truck has 4.10s and a 4spd so Im pretty happy with that number, should be seeing closer to 13-14mpg when we get it all dialed in perfect with the vac advance hooked up. In the end it turned out great and I love it, still have some finishing up to do on making the electrical look a little better, I have a few more wires in there with the electric fan, fuel pump and MSD but its all coming together.

Those are some pretty impressive numbers
. I bet you'll have a lot of fun with the new power-plant. Truck looks great, and am glad that you got it done! Now you can do a lot less
and a whole lot more

Black engine with gold valve covers looks good. Ive got a 390 thats close to your build that im putting in my highboy, I was guessing it would be around 375-400 hp. Thanks for posting your numbers. Should be a lot of fun, enjoy the ride.
