Old Blue looks a little different. It's been soda blasted and is getting some blue tinted primer for now and paint later.Check it out, looks a lot better.I was really pleased to only find three spots on filler.I also found out it use to have a tonneau cover in it's previous life.
that is cool. i wouldnt have thought it was your truck if not you posting it.looks like a solid truck too
those your old wheels with out the covers on them?
i totaly agree with Brad, it doesn't even look like the same truck in the first pic. its funny how although the pics show the progress you've made they don't show all the hours of hard work it takes to get it there hu? keep up the hard work Calvin and i can't wait to see pics of it sitting out side with its new color on.
Thanks Guys,Yeah Brad that's my wheels without the hub caps.My body man says he likes it without hub caps.I guess if the wheels matched I would consider running without them for a change but I like it both ways. Also I've located another 67 for parts that has a lot better chrome on it than mine so I'm tring to buy the whole truck because he doesn't want to part it out.I'm really getting excited to see the progress he makes on it and he knows I like pictures so I'm hoping to have it back by Christmas. Then after I get it back together I have a different cam, intake and valve covers for it,so lots to do this winter. Thanks for looking and I hope to have more pictures soon,Calvin
Blockin Old Blue out and getting ready for the last round of tinted epoxy primer.
Actually this isn't Calvin posting, since he has limited internet access right now he gave me his log in info. I was going to mess with him (you know, announce his coming out of the closet and joining the Church of Scientology)but I figured I'd show ya'll his 67 Mustang instead since I doubt he's ever posted pics of it here.
Calvin, looks like your going to have a show stopper when you finish. Beautiful workmanship on the body. I'm looking forward to more pics as you go along. Excellent !

Pics soon to come! But in the mean time we've had a new tinted windshield installed. That will be so nice to get the original frosted sandblasted windshield out.Today I pretty much got all the crummy original chrome cleaned up with soapy steel wool to hopefully brighten it up some.Another thing I'm trying is, I used lacquer thinner and removed all the black striping from all the rocker and upper skinny mouldings. So far I like the way it looks.I had to do something because some of the striping looked ok and some had worn off so now it all matches.I think my body man is shooting the final coat of tinted primer tonight so hopefully "Old Blue" comes home this week.I promise to get some pics when he's done and when I get it put back together. It sure will be nice to get that big pile of truck parts back on the truck and off of my shop floor.Stay tuned,Calvin
