ok wow been a while for a update for i got 67manns f600 instrument panel installed. It was simple instead of using the harness that was on the back of the f600s. I just double check all the color codes on it and then pulled the harness off from my 67's instrument panel, the rest was pretty much plug and play.

I also used the wiper switch that was in the panel and when i get time either tommorrow or the next day im gonna grab some vaccum hose and tee into the manifold vaccum. Hopefully ill be starting my transmission swap prett soon as well, and since i bought my wife a new camera i can accually take mine to get pictures of that.
well enough of my rambling and on with a few pictures.

unfortunatlly i didnt get any pictures of the back of the f600 one but here is the back of the old one and the f600 harness.

And this thing looks great in here

A big thanks to 67mann for selling me this.

You are making some good progress. The floor mat looks original. Will it clean up or are those stains permanent?

ok this last week i got the engine out and tore down to a bare block to get ready to rebuild it

transmission removed
Image

engine just about ready to come out
Image

empty hole
Image

on a engine stand
Image

just a slight leak in the rear intake
Image

just a litle dirty parts..
Image
Image

pistions and valves.. look like this on both sides i was expecting worse
Image
Image

geting ready to remove the pistions
Image

down to a bare block ready to be cleaned
Image

30 minutes or so later after a good heat tank soaking
Image
Image

thats about all i have for pictures for right now. The cylinder walls all had a rigde on them and a couple of my cam bearings were badly shot. All the bearings in the mother are stamped with fomoco and a date of c5.

Some things i am planning on doing is going to a 4 barrel intake i have nothing radical or major as far as cam , just wanting a good reliable engine, and im gonna finish the changeover to a 4speed.

thanks

Steve,

Great to see you breathing new life back into it!! :woohoo:
it'll be fun watching for your updates, what carb and intake will you be using?
are you going to detail the engine bay before you go back together with it?
