color change line
Hi guys, My 71 is almost all in primer and getting ready to do a two tone paint job. I know that the colors are separated under the stainless trim behind the cab. As of right now i don't have that trim so I can't put it on to see exactly where the middle of the trim would be. Do the colors change on top of the ridge that crosses the rear of the cab or 1/4 inch down. I guess I am looking for a specific measurement of where the color changes with respect to the ridge that crosses the back of cab. Thanks

The paint line is about 1/2 inch below the ridge, the cab molding trim is 1" wide so you have room to play with it. Let me give you some valuable advice on how to install the trim molding that goes along the back of the cab. DO NOT try to snap these pieces into place, you will deform them at every clip, I know this because I screwed up my first set snapping them on. slide them into place from each side over the clips and save yourself a big headache.
