Hello All,
Does anybody know for sure how far into the grommet the filler neck for the in cab tank is supposed to go? Should the grommet stop at the seam between the head of the filler neck and the rest of the tube? Or should the filler neck be pushed into the body even further so that the grommet is just short of being flush with the gas cap end of the filler neck. I keep seeing pictures of it both ways.

I think it's a matter of preference.

I liked the way might sat with just enough neck sticking out of the grommet that the overhang of the gas cap hid the exposed neck. The cap had a good seal and acted like an umbrella over the grommet/neck seal.

Thanks for the input guys,
I was kind of leaning toward pushing the neck into the cab further, so it is good to hear that you had no sealing problems. I think it would look cleaner that way. I am probably over thinking this as usual.......
