Ranger XLT Woodgrain Preservation
New guy here with a 1970 F250 Ranger XLT Camper Special in all original condition. All of the work I do to the truck is with preservation/maintenance in mind so I'm looking for some advice about preserving my woodgrain trim on the tailgate. The tailgate panel is in near mint condition and the truck is always garaged, never driven in the rain etc. so any deterioration of the trim is slow. I have started to noticed the corners peeling up and some small pieces have broken off which is what I want to stop before it gets any worse. Take a look at the pics below and see what you think, I'd hate to use some sort of adhesive that breaks down the woodgrain material or makes the problem worse. Thanks for any advice!

Re: Ranger XLT Woodgrain Preservation
Unfortunately there's not much you can do to preserve it. The wood grain Di-Noc is available if you choose to strip of the old and put new on.
This is a pain-staking job to do it correctly. Or you can sand and feather the edges and put the new over the top. Your choice.
