Working on a new project. Trying to keep it as absolutely cheap as possible. Details... 1969 F100 body, on a 1979 4x4 short bed frame. 1985 Duraspark 460 with west coast broncos motor mounts. C6. NP205. Dana 44 with homemade extended radius arms, 6" SuperLift coils, and the rear with have a homemade shackle flip. Since the pictures, I have completed the extended radius arms with a 1.25" heim on the end. Weather has prevented me from doing anything else. Still have a couple things to clean up and paint, before I can start the assembly process. The axle, coil buckets, transmission mount, the motor mount towers, etc. Little things. Then it will be time to reinstall the front axle, and build a track bar drop bracket, as well as some radius arm frame-side mounts. Both should be a piece of cake. I have a piece of 1/4" plate laying around that i'll use to fab that stuff up. Just need some consumables for my plasma cutter.

I don't think it will be all that much work. Should make some big progress on it next time I work on it. Am mostly waiting for plasma cutter consumables right now. Front suspension work will be done, or damn close to done. Also, should be ready to pull the motor by then.
I should have some updated pics in a couple days. I'm planning on doing some wrenching on Thursday and Friday. Its raining today, and suppose to rain tomorrow, so I'm at a stand-still.
I gotta do something to it! The bed is too long. I have to chop it down. I'll probably end up spraying it with some Tractor Enamel. Ford blue and International Harvester White.
Hey bud. Are you here in Texas??? I have a '72 SWB on a ''77 SWB chassis. I installed a 8 lug Dana 60 rearend, and 8 lug Dana 44 spindles & hubs on the front. I'm really interested in seeing some detailed pics of the front radius arms that you fabbed. What size tubing did you use???

Thanx, Allen.
Yes. I am in Texas. San Antonio. The tubing is 2.25" x 0.375" DOM. Some big stuff. 1.25" heims in the end of it. I'll try to snap some pics tomorrow.
Updated. Nothing too special. Ordered a flex plate and torque converter from O'Reilly auto today. They'll be in tomorrow. Engine is almost ready to come out of the donor. Its unbolted from the transmission, just need to disconnect fuel lines and what not.
Coil buckets and engine towers are painted and bolted in. Engine mounts are drying. I guess that's all I really have for an update right now.
Run down on todays events. Nothing too spectacular but I'm happy. Got the engine pulled from the donor truck and dropped into place. Was gonna put the transmission on, but didn't have flexplate bolts. I didn't realize they'd be different than the flywheel bolts I had to pull off. So, trans/tcase goes in tomorrow.
Alstoyz wrote:I'm digging the radius arms!!! How & where are you mounting the arms to the frame??? Is the motor donor a F-250 or a F-350???
i haven't quite decided how i'm going to be mounting the radius arms yet. i'll work that out when i get that far. and the engine is from an F250. why does that matter?
