My '69...before and after

Post by F100builder »

Hello all. Just thought I'd share the before and after pics of my '69 as I just finished one of the last things I've been wanting to do for a while. I finally got around to swapping in my DJM beams and upgrading to discs in the front along with flipping the hangers in the back. As far as outward appearance goes, I think I'm about done...at least until my '56 is done and then perhaps I'll go through my bump again with a little more detail and make it 'nice'. I sure am falling for this old truck! It's been a lot of fun to work on and drive! The first photo was taken just before sunset on the night I brought it home and the second was taken two days ago after I got it back on all fours.

The next item up for change is the 390/C6 that will be replaced with another fresh and rebuilt 390/C6 combo. I've got cores and brand new kits for both but the C6 will come first until I have the funds for the 390 machine work! :D

Thanks! :D
Probably the best thing to do would be to give you the link to my interior thread I posted a while back.

Your truck is looking really good Pat. We need to do a meet n greet here in Idaho so we can all meet.

Why is it that the trucks are always the best running vehicles in the family?

Thanks Troy! :D And, I agree...we should! I'll be bombin' around very soon I hope (still need to install all of the new brake lines)! I should be going to many of the local rod runs at the Sonics, Walmarts, etc. and hopefully a few larger shows. I have yet to drive it with its new stance!
