I was lucky ebough to find my truck ina barn, for sale for $1,500. Factory 360. the trans was changed to a 4-speed in the early 70s, and 3.25s in the rear end. She drove fine and everything worked great.
This is a really pathetic picture but this was my first glimpse of the truck:
After it was pulled out of the barn:
Sorry these are so small, they were taken by my phone.
I made the deal and brought the truck home, The first couple weeks I cleaned her up, took off te running boards, and then she looks like this:
She was leaking oil from the valve covers, I took them off and painted them and the air cleaner. a couple weeks ago:
Installed a tach the same weekend:
THis weekend I blew a tire on the driver front, ripped some trim off. I got the trim put back on and installed my 94 F150s rims and tires:
I figures I shouild go ahead and make my own build topic. a LOT more work is to come. I have had her less than 3 months and I aready LOVE the old truck. The interior need a LOT of wor. Thats goind to be my first big step. a LOT more to come.
