When you say rubber lines like whole new brake lines? Or a rubber piece from the line to the cylinder? So I'm looking at new shoes for 4 wheels, new hardware for all 4, new cylinders for all 4, and having the drums turned. YIKES

Brake lines or brake tubing refers to the metal tubes. They usually don't go bad except when damaged by contact or heavy corrosion.

Brake hoses typically refer to, yes, the rubber hoses connecting the hard lines to the wheel cylinders (or calipers).... On a 2WD, two hoses in the front and one in the back.

Yep. But it's not as intimidating or expensive as it sounds.
