Finished up all of the deletes...now, I have one more piece of the metal work to do and I'm hoping to have a couple more weeks of weather that allows 60+ degrees in my garage so I can prime and paint.

Small update...just finished up with some more textured rust encapsulater, seam sealing, and TINY amounts of filler where I had done some metal work. I've got just a little more sanding to do which is mostly the dash and door jambs. I'm desperately trying to get this cab primed and painted (at least the inside) before I can't keep my garage at 60+ degrees anymore. Then, my winter projects will consist of insulation, carpet, wiring, wipers, heater rebuild, glovebox, gauges, etc.

Man i would have killed to have my cab mounts look like that . I would have cleaned them up real nice seal then paint em. I assume they must of been worse of then what the pics show.

They weren't much worse than what you see but it was bad enough because I felt that they were weak and would have continued to erode regardless of what I did. The inside of both were very pitted as well. I wanted them out of the way anyway so that I could patch the floor on both sides. The floor rust wasn't anywhere near enough to replace the entire pan(s) so I fabbed up what was needed.

The old cab mounts? I had to cut one of them up to patch a part of the floor with one of its 'ribbed' pieces.

It's a TCI kit from Summit. I believe it's the exact stuff they use in their 'Streetfighter' transmissions and includes a shift kit. I also installed a new one-way clutch bearing, new thrust washers, and new bushings that were not included in the kit. If I remember correctly, I got those additional parts from Broader Performance. I have a new Hughes torque converter (2200-2400 stall) and a new flex plate as well.

I fired up my 55,000 BTU heater and got my garage up to 75 degrees with the big door opened about 10 inches and shot the primer yesterday. Being that I'm in such tight quarters, I've decided to postpone shooting the color on the outside of the cab until spring. I do, however, still plan on shooting the boxwood green on the inside so that I can work on the interior this winter. I've got new insulation, carpet, wiring harness, gauges, etc. to keep me busy while waiting for warmer weather. I included a few shots of the in-cab tank delete and cab corner replacement results.
