Preferred Seam Sealer

Post by marvin2 »

Hey guys, I just finished welding in new floor pans and am ready to cleanup the welds and apply seam sealer. What product do you guys prefer / recommend? So far I have found brushable 3M and Evercoat, but both only seem to be available online. Any recommendations on where to purchase in person?

Thanks!

I use 3M.

Find your local autobody supply jobber. Sometimes NAPA carries it.

I ended up using Martin Senour 4200 seam sealer from Napa. I read somewhere online to use 1/2" acrylic brushes to apply. I bought a 36 pack for $7 on Amazon...it worked out great!

How did that seam sealer work out for you? I found it at a local parts store but want to hear from somebody that's used it first.

I have replaced the floor pans in my 68 F100 and helped a couple of other guys do theirs. I use Eastwood Brushable Seam Sealer which is from what I have read and have used is the best out there. It's just as good as or better than what the auto manufactures use.
