I'm feeling better about this phase so I'm probably going to cut it out and start over. I'm pretty sure I can do it with some metal behind the joint. 
Is there some way besides welding to fill screw holes in the interior?

I'm not sure they make one that big. I'm feeling better about this phase so I'm probably going to cut it out and start over. I'm pretty sure I can do it with some metal behind the joint.
