1971 F250 Camper Special Sport Custom
I am looking for the paint code for my truck. There isn't one on the VIN plate. Any ideas on what color this is?
I was thinking it is Mallard Green according to the paint brochure I found here BUT my truck has a metallic.
Possibly IVY GLOW METALLIC from this link? http://www.automotivetouchup.com/touch- ... ll-models/
What do you think?
No color code on VIN plate...

Re: No color code on VIN plate...
If the warranty plate's paint code is blank, that means it was a special paint order. For example, trucks ordered by government agencies were sometimes blank because they received the agency's fleet color.
In terms of your truck, I'd be thinking that is Highland Green... the same color used on Frank Bullitt's 68 fastback.

Re: No color code on VIN plate...
I believe the color is Green Fire Metallic according to http://www.automotivetouchup.com/touch- ... ll-models/
I ordered a $10 bottle of it to check and see.
The HIghland Green Mettalic wasn't available in 1971 according to the link here but the Green Fire Metallic is VERY similar.
Will update thread when I receive my paint order.

Re: No color code on VIN plate...
Highland Green was a Ford color as early as 1968 ala Steve McQueen's fastback in Bullitt. It was available on other vehicles too...Galaxie, T-bird, Falcon, and Fairlane.market72 wrote:I believe the color is Green Fire Metallic according to http://www.automotivetouchup.com/touch- ... ll-models/
