Crossmember

Post by Deadeye »

Hey. I am refurbishing a 1971 F100 Ranger short box. I have to replace the cross-member that runs under the cab between the doors and attaches to the door sills. This is welded to the cab and runs above the frame. Is it possible to buy this cross-member or will I have to have it made? Is there a schematic or blueprint that shows the dimensions ? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. Deadeye.

Are you talking about this support. Goes from the cab support channel and angles down to the rocker panel. http://www.autobodyspecialt.com/cgi-bin ... ey=CMB-120

All that is made and sold is the patch pieces for the ends.
