Air Compressor Truck Mount Ideas
I'd like to mount an air compressor on my F250 so I'll always have one if I need it to help with fixing things on the trucks. I've already got a tool box in the bed, anyone have any ideas on where I could mount a gas air compressor somewhere on the truck? Thanks

How much CFM ya looking for? Enough duty to air things up or run power tools?

My first thought was under the hood on the driver's side where the CS Genny would go. I suppose it depends on the size including tanks.
Sounds like an interesting project to me.
Cheers,

Trucks with air brakes have engine mount air pumps and a remote tank .

Re: Air Compressor Truck Mount Ideas
If your truck didn't come with A/C you could install a A/C compressor and brackets and make your own system. The A/C compressor would look factory and pump more air than most compressors you could buy for your truck. Road tractors have all different sizes of air tanks (5-20 gal.) you could mount under the truck for a storage tank. If you use a road tractor tank be sure to drain and clean the oil out of the tank before using.

I have one like that, but as it says"tires and toys". Won't run tools. If you add a reservoir, you can build up enough air for short term impact.
Do you really need more than "Tires and Toys"
Due to the high cost of ammunition, you can no longer expect a warning shot.
When someone was beating on my door hollering "Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms", I naturally assumed it was a delivery.

I had a '91 Lincoln Continental that had a small air compressor to manage the air ride suspension. It was mounted in the front corner of the engine bay on the passenger side. Would probably work for "tires and toys".

I just watched a demo of using an air bag, as a jack. The bag and 12v compressor pack quite small. That could be really handy off roading.
