Mustang tank install with EFI question

Post by 68shortbedinmo »

I have a 5.0 EFI in my 68 and I am relocating my tank with the mustang 22 gallon I was curious what the best way to run the return line into the tank would be ? Also any tips would be appreciated . I have read several threads on it.
Thanks

What do you mean by "best way"? The routing of the return hose? :?

Look at Tanksinc.com They offer a mustang tank for efi setup which is what I am using. If you already have a standard tank, they also have what you need to convert it to efi.

I was talking more about where and how is best to enter the tank. I am sorry but the tanks on tanksinc are a little expensive for me

For the return line? Tanks with a drain plug can use the drain for the return. Some guys will mod their sender with a brazed-on return tube pointed away from the pickup.

I was not suggesting to buy a new tank. They have what you need to change yours to an efi tank. One thing you will run into with an efi setup(electric fuel pump) is that you need some sort of a sump to hold fuel while you are going around a corner or keep plenty of fuel in it so that it does not run dry. If the pump runs dry it will burn it up. Tanks inc has the sump setup. http://www.tanksinc.com/index.cfm/page/ ... /prd84.htm

After calling them I learned that they also have scratch and dent items that are marked down. You might find a the sump setup at a discount.
