Hi, I'm having issues removing the bolts which hold the mirrors to the doors. The bolt lugs are pressed into the door sheet metal and are spinning whenever I try to undo the bolts. I cant really get behind the lug with vise grips because... well its inside the door...
I need to get these mirrors off without damaging the doors or mirrors. Because I need to use the door and send the mirrors out to another member.
I could hack saw the bolt heads off but I'm still stuck with half bolts and lugs stuck in my doors...
Anyone have experience with this?
Thanks
A

Re: Door mirror bolt woes
If u take the door panels off u can reach in with a wrench or vise grips.
I had to do that with one of the 68's mirrors.
tight fit but doable.
