I installed the Duraspark II with an HEI module in a heat sink about 2 months ago. I was getting some stalling afterwards, which may have been due to a carb issue, or the HEI module getting too warm. My autolite 1100 carb was rebuilt yesterday, and will be installed on a new to me Edelbrock intake manifold. I also put EFI exhaust manifolds on at the same time, since my stock exhaust manifold was all cracked up.
While I was at it, I beefed up the heat sink. I used a 1/4" thick aluminum plate that was 4"x8", and mounted the first heat sink to it, and added the copper heat sink as well. In all, I have 3 heat sinks to tame the heat in our 112* weather. The 67 F100 with a 300 keeps getting better!
