Cousin asked me to do some bodywork on his '69 but for this I need to remove the side moldings pretty much around the whole truck. Is there a thread or video that explains or shows how this is done?
TIA

Re: side molding removal
Should be a nut at the front and back of the trim for bed, doors, and fenders. The clips will have a stud with a nut. After you get the nuts off should be able to pull from the top-back if you get what I'm saying to get the trim loose. Hope that helps.

Re: side molding removal
Take a look at this page of the LMC catalog. http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/fb/full.aspx?Page=69 It shows you where and what type clips hold the molding on. Start with the "A" clips. Those rotate and have a little spring wire. Rotate the clip to a horizontal position and slide a thin screwdriver blade or small pick to pop the spring out of the curve of the groove in the trim piece. That gives you the initial slack to lift up and start sliding the trim off. Once you clear the clip, remove it by removing the nut on the back side. The central clips are on riveted on. Unless you're painting, no need to remove those. If you need to remove them you have to drill out the rivets. The fender trim slides toward the front, the bed trim slides toward the rear, and open the door and slide it's trim off outward. Be gentle with it and you won't bend/damage it.
