Re: 71 Sport Custom Swb Restoration Engine and trans are in!
Got the tank painted. No, that's not a big run under the filler neck! That is some type of material the factory used to help seal with the weld on the filler neck?

Painted the inner fenders and also ordered my headers and valve covers. I'll be sure to post up some more pics when I get all the other stuff put on.

Re: 71 Sport Custom Swb...Coming together
Been doing a little work on the truck. Finally finished polishing all the trim for my windshield and back glass...Looks great but what a job.
Hopefully going to pick up my smoked glass either this weekend or next depending on what the guy says. I'll post pics when I get it in.

Brand is SEM. Color was satin I'll look at the pn when I get home. The stuff was kinda pricey but is made in the U.S.A and seems to be a good product so far.

Great progress cole71.
A word of caution on your electric fan.
I made my mounting plate on my Mustang solid just like you have and it made it run too hot, even down the interstate with plenty of air flow.
I'm talking 200 degrees on a car that usually runs 180 on the interstate, and 210 in town.
I even had the temperature controller on it's highest setting, pretty much running the fan constantly.
I ended up cutting some round triangle shapes around the fan, sort of the shape of the fan, no more hot temps.
Something about shutting off that much air flow causes them to run hotter.
I can't explain it but it did fix the problem.
Keep up the great progress and pics.,truck looks great.
