I value uniqueness and practicality in a truck, which may not totally explain why I'm doing what I'm doing, but beyond that I'll just say I'm doing it because I can

The Project Basics:
Pull the 390/C6 out of the 69
Pull a 300 out of an 89
Clean up and re-seal the 300
Mate the 300 with a load of parts I have laying around (and a few new ones), including a turbocharger
Install the 300 in the 69
The Kicker:
My wife has Thanksgiving week off work and has kindly agreed to drive me around, since the 69 is my daily driver. She will help me out if I don't get everything done this week, but she won't be happy about it. I'd better get it done

Disclaimer:
I titled this post with the word "junkyard", however the only piece I've acutally gotten from the junkyard is the transmission. "Junkyard" just seemed to catch the spirit of project better than anything else I could think of at the moment.
