Alright, so here is the official start of my project.
I have decided to name my new(old) 1972 Ford F250 Custom "Moses"...mostly because I'd like to name my ol' truck a good, masculine name...and partly because it has "delivered" me from years of driving cars (which I do not belong in).
As I have already posted in my introductory posting, I am a complete auto noob and know nearly nothing at all about cars, engines, etc etc. So my purpose in purchasing this truck was such:
1.) The timing was right. It was a beautiful old truck and was practically being given away. It hadn't been driven at all, and it seemed sad to not be driven. (sorry to personalize my truck)
2.) I only enjoy driving trucks.
3.) I need a second vehicle, as my wife drives our more dependable car.
4.) I work very close, so having something absolutely dependable isn't an urgent necessity right now.
5.) I have always dreamed of a having an old, simple truck that I could learn how to work on it myself...that is, teach myself, how to work on it. This seems to be a good year and type of truck with which to learn.
So far, as I know nothing about how to fix it, I had to have it professionally serviced to repair a couple issues before I even consider driving it. From only owning it a week, here is my list of things needing fixing/replacing so far:
1.)Carborator needs rebuilding. It is flooding itself. Dies from 1st to 2nd in normal acceleration except when you light-foot it or stomp it. *being professionally fixed*
2.) Brake pads were ran clean through and drums were shot. Somebody didn't care too much about the brakes, clearly.

3.) (facing the truck) right-side exhaust pipe is rusted through and needs replacing.
4.) Cracked windshield. Does not leak fortunately. Needs replacing ultimately.
5.) Driver's side window handle needs the knob replaced.
6.) Emergency brake light is constantly on, even when brake is off.
7.) Slight rust on bed, where camper was. Needs to be sanded.
8.) Slight dings/indentations on each panel. Ultimately needs to be hammered out.
9.) Paint is old, ultimately needs repainting on outside only. (keeping red)
10.) Dashboard is cracked/foam exposed. Needs replacing.
11.) Left, plastic inset grill cracked. Needs replacing
So basically, that's what I have so far. And looking at it, its not really too bad of a list.
I plan on keeping this truck the rest of my life, so I will gradually just keep workin on it, teaching myself the basics as I go (should be entertaining). My goal is to have it look like it did when it came off the show-floor. I don't want a show truck, I just want a good looking truck.

I've reposted to pictures to show the beginning.
