With the help of my G/F, we changed the rear window and resealed the camper shell where it mounts on the bed rails.

It was a pleasant surprise to find clean paint under the old window seal, I was expecting rust. The replacement window is also the sliding type, except complete and working properly. This was my first time replacing window glass. I used the "fishing line" method that I had read about on this forum. My line was from a Weed Whacker and it worked great. Next time I think I'll lube the rubber with WD40 or something first. Oh, yeah, we used a new rubber seal.

We used two 8-foot 2x4's to slide the camper shell partway off the bed while we resealed one side. Then while I held up the shell, Allie relocated the 2x4's, one at a time. Then we resealed the other side of the shell. Somewhere during all this, Allie hit her head on a 2x4. The 2x4 was right where she had put it, but somehow it was my fault. We got the job done without killing each other.

I changed the oil & filter and checked the rear-end fluid. As expected, the rear-end fluid was clean and full. I had changed the fluid in this rear-end shortly before the motor blew six or eight years ago.
