1972 F-100/250 SWB
So I thought since I am finally getting to my SWB project and am pretty amped up about it I would start a thread and post updates as things start happening. As of 2 years ago the frame was sand blasted and powder coated and just in the last month something lit a fire under me and I got going on this truck. I have 1979 3/4 ton 2 wheel drive running gear under it with 3.54 gears. I swapped all of the power steering components over. I have a 390/C6 combo powering the truck. The 390 will have a FAST XFI throttle body fuel injection kit on it. The motor and tranny are in the frame and bolted down. That is where I am at now. The almost completely rust free box goes to the painter as soon as I can get it on the spare frame I have a tow it over there. Then the cab will go and I still need to find doors and a lower valence panel for a 70-72. I am painting it factory Tampico Yellow. Here are a few pics.

Well its been half a year since I have posted an update on the project. I haven't really done a whole lot in that time, kinda bought a house and had to spend my money elsewhere. Lately, however I have been going to a few car shows and I got the motivation back to start working on her again. Today I did the disk brake conversion on the Dana 60. I think it looks way better. I just have to figure out brake lines, master cylinder and proportioning valve options.

Looks great, that is going to be an awesome truck!
few questions..
What brand of are you using, looks like they fit correct next to the steering box and where did you get the Dana 60 disc brake conversion kit?
Thanks,
Bill

Thanks for the compliments! I assume your are talking about the headers, right? They are hooker brand i can't remember the part number i will have to look it up. I got the disk brake brackets from a friend of mine who works at a 4x4 shop and they custom build the brackets. The calipers are '76 chevy half ton 4x4 fronts and the rotors are '79 chevy 3/4 ton fronts.
