yes it does help having access to the right tools. i'm hoping to have it sitting on the CV subframe and new rear end before august.

good luck with the build, sounds like your doing what I did to mine. I wish I had a fork lift or lift for that matter. But it does look like blood was splattered all over it,

yeah i've followed your build closely and i love the way your truck turned out. i'm actually going to be using a crown vic rear end now because I bought an entire police interceptor shell.

haven't done any updating because I haven't done any work. so here are some pics.
I bought an ex-cop car for $450:

then I started removing pieces:

IFS on the ground. I just torched the frame that the subframe bolted to and dropped it all with one cut:

then I started on the rear:

sleeves 3, but you can also see the machined steel spacers that I used. each one is a different thickness, machined seperately to make that mount sit level despite the frames contour:

Thats the cleanest install ive seen. i think you could sell a kit with the pipe and bushing to others wanting to do a swap.
