I can't go to the links in the other form because i'm at work(blocked) damnit! I'll check it out when I get home. Not going to lie electrolysis kinda scares me a little bit. electricity and water...
but thanks for the tip. I got most of the front end off her this weekend, with with over a 40yr old truck ever bolt is a battle... takes a long time. This isnt what I'm used to either, I used to work on imports a ton.

I can understand that, having worked on my own `69 quite a bit (as well as other old vehicles). You got to admit though there is a LOT more room to reach stuff on your truck.with over a 40yr old truck ever bolt is a battle... takes a long time. This isnt what I'm used to either, I used to work on imports a ton.

Maybe not in Yakima, but most larger cities have commercial metal cleaning outfits. If you're looking at spending several hundred on a big messy very high maintainence, very labor intensive pool why not just pay a fraction of that to have your parts proffessionally cleaned?

Re: for anyone doing a resto!!! rust removal!!!!
One important point regarding electrolysis: Dry the parts very thoroughly and get some paint immediately. They will rust in no time at all after having been electrolycized. (?) If the part is all metal you could dry it in the oven, then paint it.
