Re: So here i go..
Tomorrow off with the bed, then going to uncover this....
We going to put new 280 cam in, new timing chain, freeze plugs and to finish it off new rod and main bearings. If I have the time going to steam clean frame. Saturday will be nothing but suspension day, Going to flip the rear leave bracket and notch frame and by the way axle on top of leaves. I have to put a halt on motor due to funds for a few days, and I also need one of these!!!!!
So help a brother out....please...

Didn't get a thing done today, I think I may have jumped the gun on old hand, hurting pretty bad today. Rested up this evening, going to give it a try tomorrow. Will post pics if I do. My old lady takes the pics, she said she will help once all the 40 years of oil and grease is gone, most of it is now. Good night all

Re: So here i go..
Here you go.....
Replace when they look like this....
I know some of this is something you all already know, but some may not...when replacing the rod and mains always put the carriers back the same way, like this...notice the 7...
You always want the carriers back the same way they came out...
One way to know if they need replacing are the wear marks..
Notice the bronze wear marks...since we this fare how about changing the rear main?
The rod bearings part numbers are.....
The main bearings.....
And let's not forget seals....
Tomorrow I WILL have cam in motor!!!! With timing chain on!!!! My cast is gone...no more excuses

Good evening Tim,
I'm amazed by your rapid progress--it looks like you've done this type of thing many times before and/or you're an insanely driven guy!!!
The image shown below is just a large preview edition. If you click on it, you'll see a much larger and easier to read edition.
