Good going. Those sure are wheels.

Re: 68-F100 Fixing the bad spots.
Thanks guys.
It's onto the toploader. I figured I would post some pics before I seal it up and put it back in.
The dang thing is heavy thats for sure.
Here are some shots of he the linkage was setup.
Just some more random pictures.
The gasket/seal kit was 18.00 plus free shipping from CJ pony parts. To my surprise it was Ford parts.
I did find that I am going to have to order a new speed0 gear for it but other than that the trans is in great shape. I see how the toploader got the legendary reputation they have. They are built like a tank.

Re: 68-F100 1-21-11 The Toploader
Yesterday the UPS man dropped off all the parts I need to build my exhaust. Longtube headers on a 351w are a pain in the @$$. After 3 hours of moving the engine around they are in. I had to grind a bit on the frame rail on the passenger side. The drivers side had to have a small dent in the tube to clear the steering box. Other than that it's a done deal. I also got the toploader rebuilt and reinstalled. Gotta keep on it to be ready to paint it this spring.

Re: 68-F100 2-10-11 Exhausted
OK well it's been a while but the work has kept moving. Most all the mechanical stuff is all worked out. All the welding i done. Time to start sanding and get ready to paint. It was 70 here today so painting isn't that far off and i want to be ready.

Its painted! I'm so happy. Its not perfect. But it's perfect to me. I have has this truck down to the frame and did it all myself. I am after the rat rod look andI think I nailed it. I am sure some people will see it and point out the flaws and then leave in the car they bought. Here is a pic and more will follow as I get it bach togeather.
