Right now I'm running a 4" lift and 35's on my 69 F100 bump. I'm wanting to throw on some 38's, however i need (and want ) a 3 inch body lift. I've searched, but all I can find is the body lift for the Bronco, where might I find one to fit my bump? Also do you think my factory D44's with stock gearing (not sure of the exact specs) could keep up with 38's?

just my opinion.i like the body kits as long as you use the brackets to raise the bumpers to match the height of the body.but also with just 1/2ton axles i dont think i would go over a 35 tire.
you can actually make your own extensions to raise the body. just use some pipe cut to 3 inches above the rubber mounts. i seen one truck that had a body lift on it of abotu 1 1/2 inches. the guy used 1 inch pipe above the rubber mounts. this was a 2wd F100 he did it too.

I did this on my 76' EB but went a few steps farther: Used schedule 40 black iron pipe and welded end caps into the 4.5 inch sections / used Grade 8 all-thread(threaded rod) which was hard to find even 15 years ago. Ran it like this for some 10+ years with the factory gears with 38 dumbo mudders with no issues, (keep in mind you're not geared low enough for any serious wheelin though). And you are left with the space between the bumper and truck bed/body to fill. I also had a 6" suspension lift on my EB and used JD cut-out flares for the extra room for travel with the 38's. Might not look factory but it will get your 38's on there if you're that determined to do so...

Thanks for all the replies fellas! I've been thinking about it too and see no reason I really "need" 38's 'cept for bein "cool" so I think I'll stick with the ol' 35's that's been working for everything I need them for so far, and save my axle's the stress
