rust remedy - in progress
Look familiar? This is what I started with 1968 SWB Custom Cab
1971 F100 4X4 Arizonor Donor Unfortunately Donor had a sunroof but believe me the price was right. Here I have the center of my truck roof taped off to cut out and use to fill the donor roof which will then be cut free from donor and fused onto my truck. Okay so I was jobless at the time! You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: rust remedy
Thats pretty major. Still, you could get it sealed up pretty good, and be dry in the rain!

Re: rust remedy
My crew cab looks like it might be that bad if I were to really dig into it and get the paint off. Even my other truck cab has rot in the drip rail. ![Crying ](./images/smilies/icon_cry.gif)

Re: rust remedy
You live in southern California. Rust-free, replacement cabs are plentyful. Go to the junkyard and get another cab. I wouldn't even mess with that cab.trashman wrote:Look familiar? begin image http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a0d73 ... /ry%3D400/ end image This is what I started with

Re: rust remedy
Hey there Booby Ford! Yeah, I should have just replaced the cab but this cab has no rust in the floors and the doors close real nice, the dash has never been cut . It was just stored where moisture was trapped on the roof. I did get a donor truck roof and got rid of the rust, I just need to figure out how to post pics "in line" not "hot links" so I can show the process.BobbyFord wrote:You live in southern California. Yes I did the Mustang fuel tank install. Several of us have done it with a few minor differences. You can do a search. Here is a link to my install: http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... =7&t=46022

Re: rust remedy
Pretty serious surgery. I have alot of pinholes around my drip rail. So, when I noticed that, I cleaned and sealed the entire drip rail. Next will be to weld all those those pin holes up, and I am going to remove the drip rail a little at a time as I go. Should take forever and a day, but it also look pretty pretty when I am done...
