I bet the sealant is part of the undercoating option he mentioned.
1rebmem, have you considered ordering a Marti Report for your truck? It would be worth it since the truck is in such original condition.

quantumleap, you had me belly laughing when you said "how many times can you fry the tires off a ring?"
I just discovered something....... if you look at the firewall pics you will see that the sealant is behind the inner fenders. There is no sealant on the inner fenders themselves. Looks like the sealant was applied before the inner fenders were installed. I am at work right now so I will check this out later this morning.

I use Meguiars Gold Class carnuba wax. I've only waxed the cab so far and some of the engine compartment.
The original paint is in pretty good condition overall but up close you would see it's not perfect being 42 years old. I figure being kept inside all its life did wonders to preserve it. I have not used any electric buffers and probably won't due to being afraid to remove too much paint. Hand waxing leaves alot of red on the rags.
Your truck is in very nice condition. I like that color, is it original paint?

Yes it still has got the original paint on it, "swiss aqua and wimbledon white". But the paint on mine is totally f**ked up compared to your truck´s
I´m already excited how it will look with the wax applied
