Well here's a quick rundown. The Diamond 25cc pistons are in the shop, the heads are done, and we should be picking up the crank pretty soon. Then my builder has a set of brand new Ford Racing roller rocker arms for my engine that he'll give me for $300. They are normally $370 and I was told (by someone else) that that was a really good price for them. Well the Ford Racing valve covers that I originally wanted were discontinued by Ford. They were tall and polished aluminum, but they had ones that were the same except they cost a little bit more and are chrome. I'm going to paint them anyway (in a very cool manner to make it match and look even better). But now summit stopped selling them, they have done that with other stuff before then in a month or two they have them again. Its a selling tactic that I do no like.

Just be wary of the FMS stuff, a lot of it is comeing from overseas and the quality sucks. That may be why the valve covers aren't available, Summit may have gotten too many complaints. I had a FMS chrome water neck that had porosity in the casting so bad it leaked after a year (through the wall). What a crock of junk...

 I was being lazy so I just took one of the pictures off of Summit's website and used it for all of them. I may want to put that aux. fuel tank it it. I already have the gauges and the tach to match it, now I just have to fit them to the instrument panel. The tach will be on the dash of course. I've been really busy with other crap lately so I don't have the time or energy to work on the effie. I want to get 'r done soon. It'll be a little while yet, but well worth it. 8)

EDIT- I got the Harland Sharp rocker arm's, I'm lovin them.

Thanks, as for the cost I don't know. I could tally up what I know but there are still other expenses and most are for the engine. The only other big expense was the radiator. But remember, I have machining being done so then there is labor added into that and I'm not done yet. So do you just want to know how much money all the parts were or will be? I can try to tally up labor too if you want me to.

Justin,

I like what You've done with the original gauge panel.
That's another good option instead of the big truck panels.

Thank you, when I got the truck I decided that I didn't want digital gauges. Plus I didn't want the analog ones that go on the dash then the original ones just sit there dead. I like the original style speedometer and all, but my engine builder was telling me to get a new set of gauges so that I would have a more accurate reading. I himed and hoed about the plate that you can get and put a round speedo in it but I don't want to destroy a perfectly good instrument panel so I decided to incorperate it with the new round ones. It should have a smooth look to it.

Yes! I got going again, my dad took the week off to do the bodywork. He thought it was the first week of summer break but its the week before so I can't be there to help on everything. Ticks me off because I don't want him doing all the work, it is MY build after all. I just don't want someone else to be doing all the work while I watch. But the doors and fenders are done. Then we are going to prime and paint them and the inner fenders plus the hood hinges. Next I want to order up my hood scoop and we will file it to fit the hood. I'm going to build the motor all on my own, I will make sure everything is done perfect and precisely. I have been doing stuff with the bodywork though, I did the fender before. Don't think I'm letting my dad build the whole thing. I'm back baby! 8)

Diamond Pistons. They are based in MI and are about an hour away from me, my machinist ordered them up. 25cc dish, forged. I was going to get hyper. pistons but we had to get the Diamond pistons and they only have forged, but I'm not complaining 8)

The crank is in and torqued down now, pistons will go in soon. My machinist has been having me do work at his shop to take some money off my bill, great guy. Until you clean a shop you have NO clue how much metal shavings and dust they produce. His shop hadn't been cleaned in a while because they have been so busy. Oh, and the gaskets are here.
