SOLD-71 F-350 dually flatbed, 302 / .030 over V-8 with a "baby"C-6, B & M truckshifter, Dana70/4.11 ratio, intermittent wipers, tilt steering, full LED lighting on the flat bed, and no stereo yet (this way I can hear the rattles to diagnose)! SOLD!
Many Ford bumps / one 76' EB / and several dents through the years.
A lot of "oddball" Ford parts collected from working on them for 34 years now!

That is interesting, I had never thought about the possibility. I have thought about changing my truck body unto a dentside frame because my frame isn't very strait and I think it would be easier to find a frame from a dentside. Either way, I know, I would have to shorten the frame.

hmmm you dont really need to shorten the frame you kinda split the difference and drill new holes

Isn't the difference in wheel base length from a bump to a dent 2 inches? (I think thats what I've read) If it is, would you move the box forward one inch only? That would leave a 1 inch wider gap between that cab and box than it had oringinaly and the wheel on inch out of centre in the wheel well. Is that what you mean by 'splitting the difference'? I just don't think I would like a bigger gap between the cap and box than what I have right now.

yeah it does leave a 1 inch wider gap but from people have told me its unnoticeable. But if you feel that you dont like that look. Moving the axle forward and all the work that is involved with that is your next step :thup:

you could always leave it that way and build a tunnel tool box to sit between the cab and bed.

i finally got done with school i also ran out of time but i put the flat bed on my 67 looooks a TON better than that box that was on there.
i'm gonna re deck it and redone stuff on it like the headache rack and rear panel
