Yes it is! My Dad and I convert it to a RV. We bought it from the US Army in Schweinfurt, Germany.

Re: My 1971 F100
1984 or 85, I can't recall right off. It's a blue bird front engine, 6.9 IH with allison transmission. I'm actually toying with the idea of converting it once again, only this time into a mobile shop. The awning would be nice!

Cool! Our´s is only 11 years old! It has got a shorter wheelbase (it´s ca. 27 foot long) and a 5.9l Cummins diesel front engine with Allison automatic. You don´t see a lot of Bluebird buses on the road over here...in fact I´ve never seen one but ours

you don't see many over here either. it seems the military had the market cornered on the bluebirds. school buses are mostly thomas or ward bodies on international, ford or gm chassis.

Re: My 1971 F100
Time for a little update:
Cut the rusty floor:
Now my home-built bead roller came in handy:
Fabricated the new panels, welded them in, sanded, welded, sanded.....
Got the door lettering with the previous owner´s advertisement off:
And the parts I ordered from NPD arrived: new spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, coil, air filter...
And last but not least the marker lights...just laid on the cab to get a first impression..awesome

Great project log. I'm enjoying the pictures. I kinda liked the lettering on the door but oh well.
