Good morning 23109c!
Are you wearing a paint respirator mask? As you probably know, with a quality 3M spray paint respirator on, you can't smell the paint fumes at all, and the masks are affordable. I used one of these for the first time in Summer 2008, and was amazed with how effective it was!
Also note: the standard, generic debris respirators they sell at the hardware store won't work half as well as these 3M paint respirators.

Hey guys, things are coming along albeit slow due to blasting, sanding, scraping and painting all parts prior to reassembly. Have a garage full of new or reman front end parts waiting to go on. I beams have new king pins and recieved new urethane bushings for axle pivots and radius arms. Hopefully, I will have update pics. this weekend. Thanks for the interest, it really helps motivate.
By the way, Robroy, I know you replaced the hardware inside the front disc caliper mounts and was wondering if you have the part # handy for the kit you found with all the stuff including the little rubber boots.

If so, I believe you need NAPA part 82113A to replace the small caliper hardware, including those rubber boots. I looked in to this in detail during April 2009 and posted my findings here: #50: 1972 F250 8,100lb GVW Disc Brakes (Tons of Photos)
If you scroll down the page about 3/4 of the way, you'll see a post that includes photos of two different NAPA kits, including 82113A. You'll also see details that will help to explain my rationale for recommending 82113A.

Ok, here are some pics. I was able to get my kingpins redone at a local machine shop and the machinist was nice enough to blast my spindles saving me some wire wheel time. I cleaned the rest of the beams with wire wheels and scotchbrite. This is how they look now.

And the new bushings. I originally ordered the wrong axle pivot bushings from suspension restorations out of Modesto, CA. There is an error on the application charts in regards to our trucks. Suspension Restorations handled it well with a very speedy (1 day) delivery of the correct bushings and return of the wrong bushings.

Here are some pics of the inner fenders and rad. core support which I had blasted at a local powder coating shop (powder coat it). The price was reasonable and they treated me well despite not using them for the coating. I was happy to see the metal was in great condition without any holes or damage of any kind.

Finally, a picture of all the new parts. Steering box, drag link, tie rod, brake calipers, brake rotors, master cylinder and booster, brake lines, and a bunch of hardware. Wow, this was'nt supposed to cost much.
