Re: The perfect tow truck!!!!
Im going to put the 460 motor and tranni in it this week. Got the cab bolted down last night. Starting on the interior today. I hate red, but the FORD burgundy is so cool! I have new carpet and gas tank that's going in. I haven't made my mind up on a floor/colum shifter yet. F600 dash will be in today aswell.

Re: The perfect tow truck!!!!
Looks like a pretty cool project. Are you going to use DRW hubs on the front axle? Looking forward to more pictures.

Re: The perfect tow truck!!!!
I haven't decieded if I am going with the buds up front or use my 35 14 16"s. It really looks great with the mud rims on the front. Here's a picture of the rims... That's a picture of my 71 F250 shortbed frame I cut down to fit. That project got put on hold for right now. I just figured out my flywheel problem I was having. Put my 460 with a NP435 tranni and PTO in tonight. Now I have to make the short shaft to the divorced trans case.

Re: The perfect tow truck!!!!
I see what you mean. Those wheels will look pretty good with the dually rears. Kinda like flotation fronts on a heavy truck.

Re: The perfect tow truck!!!!
Yeah, the big ones almost match the rears side to side. It kind of looked like a single dual up in front! I can't wait to get her done and that will be my everyday driver!

Re: The perfect tow truck!!!!
I wanna do this with an F600 or 700 67-72 with a 21' rollback and also the same model but with the sling/wheellift.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~
