I reluctantly declined as my finances are pretty well drained with family expenses and the little bit here and there I've been spending on the F100. He replied, oh, you can afford it, if you promise. Intrigued, I said that I would be willing to look at it with him and discuss it.
Long story short, I saw it tonight and will be getting the title Monday. He placed what he called a "gentlemen's price" (similar to a gentlemen's wager) on it of $100 to transfer ownership.
He said with the 390 that is installed at 4000RPM the top speed is about 57 MPH. It has a 4-Speed with a granny-low first, and a 5.13 pinion in the (monstrous) rear end.

Nice straight bodied cab, notice the original front bumper straddling the frame.

Door tag.
So.. I was thinking--maybe a tow truck? Possible Cummins swap? What ideas come to your head when you see a beautiful piece of machinery like this?
Also.. it has real-deal widow-maker wheels. I haven't even started to look yet, but obviously they need to go--anyone have any ideas in this arena also?
