Rjewkes' 1970 F250 Crew 4x4x4 Pickup.

Post by rjewkes »

This is what i started with.

Then it sat and the 390 4 barrell got rain damaged i had no where to keep it. so the intake wich is a factory 4 barrell was one of the better parts on it.

Then when i lost my job at the towing company in feb, My neighbor sees me struggling to get te one truck back on its feet, and loans me $2000.00, He takes the truck as collateral wich is what i agreed to.

So now he is including me in the rebuild process to keep it from rusting out.

So far plans are a 460/c6 of a 76 Motor home. Rebuilding the transfer case. swapping in the automatic tilt colum from a 78 Fseries. And getting the interior and jams mathcing the metalic gunmetal grey thats on the bottom side/firewall.

The deal is that once it's done i'll pay off the loan and cost of the parts/labor on it. Good news is 99.9% of the labor will be me and him and our buddy who owns a mechanic shop/towing Company. Pretty much what it would cost me for the work anyways. So far it looks with paint and a few neccessary parts to wswap a 460 in we'll be at 1k, plus my 2k loan would mean 3k to get this done.

I'll get after pics, the mechanic guy has allready done 90% of the prep work for it all in just 1 week. Oh and the parts truck he snagged for te short bed came with brand new tail gate a decent looking original tail gate, and a really good Cab and Front Sheet metal. it just had a blown up 302 and locked up c4 with chevy cammorro front Clip underneath with a caddilac steering column and The Duraspark outa a late 70's truck.

Yeah its mine again. He only bought it to help me stay afloat and get the f100 buttoned up and pay bills. I still have to buy it back but I'm making the decissions on what we go with. Luckily we only need the 460 adapter mounts for the engine. All new lines for the brakes and the fuel.

Plus for free i get a cab and front sheet in realy good shape and allready painted for the f100.
