Lookin good your starting quite the collection.LOL I have no Idea what those box things are. Hope someone chimes in. Maybe their spare nuts and bolts holders
How hard of a swap will it be to put the 67 on the 79?? I know the bed will bolt on in different places. Will the cab just bolt on in the same locations? How about the front bumper? I am guessing the high boy springs will bolt right in also?
I like the idea of power steering.
I think I will use just the core support.
I don't like the look of the newer innerfenders, and the mounting the hood would be a pain in the rear.
Any suggestions??
I will be using the 79 frame to put my 67 body on. I am converting to a 6bt with a zf s5 42 and the mated np205. I will most likely put an aluminum flat bed on it. I have decided to stick with the bump inners, I don't like the newer inners. They don't look sturdy enough. Even though they might be I however will be using the core support.
2wd body, 79 frame, cummins engine, late model tranny.... What's 67? Maybe you could reuse the radiator cap or the steering wheel? Sounds like an easy way to get everything you need Mike. If you go with a flatbed it shouldn't cause any complications. Mounting a bed on the later frames isn't very simple. Holes are different, that's not hard to figure out, but the later trucks have a longer wheelbase too.
It will definitely be a Heinz 67!!! It will look like a 67 drive like like a 79. Sound like a diesel. Hmmm the best of all worlds.
I am not into concorse restorations. Restomod is the way I roll I am all for functionality and originality. I hate following the in crowd. Never have never will. Plus not many people will know the difference in the frames. Now the diesel they will figure out. Just what I like.

They are charcoal canisters... emissions equipment. Nut and bolt holders would be more valuable in my opinion...
Yeah art right on teh money but i've never seen two on one truck?? Where was that one built at to include two of them???

I've never seen them on the frame in that locality, usualy just a few inches from the rad support just under the alternator area on the frame.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

That turbo won't work. Common rails have a different turbo mount. That's an HE351, not a good turbo. You can upgrade your turbo with a 12-16 CM turbine housing from an H1C or an HX35 or you can just run an HX35. The H1C is the older design used on 95 and older dodges. The 94/95 H1C's are called WH1C's and were the same turbo you have with a 12CM wastegated turbine housing. In 95/96 the HX35 came out, it's the same size compressor and exhaust and dimensionally identicle, but it's more efficient.
I want to run an electric fan instead of the engine one. If I don't us it can I take the pulley off and sell it? I have a guy interested in it over at 4btswaps.
Are you going to intercool it? You can't run electric fans and an intercooler, there isn't enough room. The engine fan cools much better too. You can't lose the pulley, the belt has to run on something.
