might have to stuff a stocker into it until i can aford to fabbed all the induction and programing. also getting through emissions. thats going to be fun.

Grant must be really busy these days as he doesn't get on here much anymore.Anyways I see in this months issue that his "bump" has gone off to be soda blasted.It ought to get interesting now.I can hardly wait from month to month.I want to see how he raises the floor in the bed for frame clearance.

I don't think he needs to raise his bed floor since he is only going with a mild drop.

Hello everyone! Sorry I've been absent for awhile. Been a busy summer with work, traveling for work, and evrything else the world tosses at us like hard drives crashing 2 days before dealine and such...

BUT I'm back and trying to regroup(was getting a little burnt out on the project with all the long hours and working alone) I've only got a few more months to try and get this thing on the road, so I gotta get my butt in gear!

I'm STILL waiting for the wiring from FORD for the '05-07 Mustang motor and anxious to fire it up, but I'll stay busy with the metal/body work until I get it...Yeah I got the truck Soda Blasted and it came out nice! Little bit of rust in the floor, but not bad. Almost done with the bed floor and I did raise the whole thing up 5-inches and did it to look like it came from the factory like that. It's giving me LOTS of useable space under the bed for a big gas tank, battery, tool box maybe, etc, and I want to stash all the A/C stuff under there too when the time comes.

I still need to fill the ceter of the floor back in, as well as the area behind the tailgate, and I'm putting factory replacement wheel houses in, but adding 1 1/2" to 'em to make room for the rubber.

I'll most likely try to seal up the body and take care of the final pre-assembly, get it running, and then blow the truck back apart for paint when I work the bugs out...guess I better get back to work!

lovin it man! I was going to ask about the wheel tubs, I love stock floor beds, keeping the tubs and all. Don't think I will be able to do that, but I love that look! nice ride so far!

Why not? Are you running HUGE tires?
I love all the stock tin too and that's why I'm going to add 1 1/2" to the repop tubs I got from NPD.

I love all the stock tin too and that's why I'm going to add 1 1/2" to the repop tubs I got from NPD.

My plan doesn't allow for a raised bed floor haha. But, yah huge tires too sorta. 235/75/15 or so. running smoothies on a tall whitewall. I don't want to say much about it, but PM me if you want to know more.

Love the truck though man, that's the perfect stance for a static suspension truck!

Love the buildup here, Grant! That "other" classic truck magazine sure dropped the ball on thier Bumpside build. The illustration of the gasser style truck looked wicked cool, but the guy must not have any enthusiasm for his project.

Guess who's magazine I buy when given the choice!
